about

Radoslav Kvapil (born 15 March 1934 in Brno) is an internationally acclaimed Czech pianist and composer, considered by some to be the among the finest exponents of Czech piano music. However, at the end of the 20th century, he devoted his concert programmes to works by Frédéric Chopin, particularly in France, in the Chopin International Piano Festival in Nohant. He has also recorded Studies by Chopin (coprod. Amat/Jean-Pierre Thiollet, 1999). User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
