There are several radio stations around the world with this name, among them : Radio Nova (France) is a trendy radio station broadcast from Paris, created in 1981 by Jean-François Bizot. Its playlist is characterized by non-mainstream or underground artists of various music genres, such as electro, new wave, reggae, hip hop and world music. Several well-known Parisians have had shows on Radio Nova, such as Ariel Wizman, Edouard Baer, Jamel Debbouze, Gilles Peterson, Ivan Smagghe, Laurent Garnier and David Guetta. The radio is owned by the Nova Press company which also owns the record label Nova Records, the jazz-oriented radio station TSF Jazz and edited Nova Magazine. It can be streamed online at https://www.nova.fr/ Radio Nova (Norway) is a non-commercially run student radio situated and broadcasting in Oslo, Norway, at FM 99,3. The radio is devoted to playing underground music, and is run by a team of volunteered journalists and technicians. The station went on-air for the first time March 16, 1982, as Norway's first non-Christian, local radio station. Today, the station broadcasts 40.5 hours a week between 22 programs. In the course of a week there is a range of different programmes; debates, programs that deal with film, the sciences, literature, music, culture and social questions. Together with the rest of Norway's student radio stations, Radio Nova introduced a shared endeavor to further the cause of independent/alternative music: a national student radio play-list.
