Artist
Rachel Lamb is a singer-songwriter hailing from Newcastle Upon Tyne. A singer/songwriter in the traditional style, Rachel’s finished productions come out of leftfield, a blend of electronica and folk with a nod to the likes of Portishead and Frou Frou. In her musical career thus far, Lamb has already worked with much respected dance and electronica acts such as DJ Kira, Satoshi Tomie, DJ Yellow, James Warren and Trafik, with whom she has collaborated on tracks such as the single “Surrender” and “Into the Wind” (taken from the album 'Bullet') and “Recovery Position” (taken from the album 'None But the Brave'). Lamb has been working on her debut solo material at Loft Music studios with John Elliott and Andrew Archer of Trafik. Her first foray into the pop arena comes in the shape of her debut single “Electricity”, a collaboration with Jiro Vega (“Aqua”). “Electricity” will be released as a single in 2012 and features amazing remixes from the likes of Philip Jensen, Bit Funk and PARSIFAL.
