Artist
Rachel and the Revolvers was a 1962 studio project of Brian Wilson and Gary Usher. "Rachel" was a singer named Betty Willis from the Watts neighborhood in Los Angeles who was recruited by Wilson and Usher (Though some people believe it was actually Ginger Blake of The Honeys). "The Revo-Lution" was written by Wilson and Usher and produced by Wilson as a West Coast response to "The Loco-Motion". "The Revo-Lution" was released as the A-side of a single, with "Number One" as the B-side. The single was a flop, but both songs have been reissued on several CD compilations of Brian Wilson side projects.
