Artist
Racha Arodaky is a French pianist with Syrian origins. Her professional path went through the Paris National Conservatoire (CNSM) in the class of Dominique Merlet and via the Tchaikovski Conservatoire of Moscow with Yevgueni Malinine. She obtaiend her first price of the CNSM at the age of 16. She met Murray Perahia and became one of his rare students, allowing her to complete her career path with the advice of one of the greatest contemporary performers. She obtained enthusiastic review for three recordings she made exploring different musical worlds, from Mendelssohn (2001), Scriabin (2003) to Domenico Scarlatti (2006), with a selection of 18 sonatas, among a corpus of 550 pieces. Racha Arodaky can reveal the appropriate musical climate, suggesting the density and variety of human feelings with a constant intensity. Even in the Baroque repertoire, she is keen to transcribe the lyricism, expressionism as well as sensuality of the pieces she performs. Her last recording, released in October 2009 by Air Note, is dedicated to Haendel's Suites. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
