The four Montrealers still unknown as Rock Forest have been working in the shadows during 3 years on their first album to be released this winter. Working with a mathematical precision, its like these team mates think they are some kind of a research and development departement. Still their music is pretty clever and reminds us of John Maus, Depeche Mode, Cut Copy and maybe some Boards of Canada. When playing live, the quatuor is heavily armed with synths, big amps, and even if they give a performance in the tradition of rock, we still have that strong feeling of attending some club version of Genesis.
