Welcome to my profile! My name is Tamas Arki and I'm a bassist, composer, producer and jew's harp player from Hungary. I've been dealing with music since I was 11 years old - I was making hip-hop then using loops. Looking back, that's really weird. Things took off when I heard psychedelic rock band Korai Öröm at the age of 13. There was some really special instrument twanging in the background, making the whole thing more exotic - the musician was Miklos Paizs and the instrument was the jew's harp. I immediately ordered a trump and began practising, then attended the first Hungarian Jew's Harp Festival where I met Aron Szilagyi, Hungary's most promiment jew's harp player. Another big leap for me was 2007. when I went to Denmark in order to broaden my musical talents. I studied percussion there and gave several concerts in Denmark and Latvia. I'm really grateful for everything I learnt there, at Andebolle Ungdomshojskole. When I got home, I started writing and producing songs in solo and the result was 'On Hold', my first full album released by the netlabel Chromechoes Production in 2008. Since then, I've been learning to play the bass guitar and have played in various local bands, most prominently in S.É.K. (Saját Érdekedben Kuss - Shut Up For Your Own Sake).
