RAG FAIR is a 6 member all male Japanese a cappella group. RAG FAIR went on hiatus starting on March 2011, they did not announce when they will be returning the music scene. The members first met at Saitama University in 1997, where they participated in a collegiate a cappella circle named "chocoletz" and RAG FAIR emerged from this in 1999. They developed streetlives in those days around Oomiya Station and Musashiurawa Station. From there, they were able to expand their performance lineup to live houses, weddings and parties, cultural festivals and fireworks festivals. They had their major debut in December 2001 with the mini-album "I RAG YOU". They made their first appearance on Kouhaku Uta Gassen 2002, a prestigious annual year-end music show in Japan. Since the band's debut, they have made numerous appearances on Japanese television, stage/musicals, radio, commercials and magazines. The band has also hosted and starred in two season music-variety shows, where both programs ran a full season each in 2003-2004. On December 10, 2005 RAG FAIR held their first Nippon Budoukan concert, where they performed the entire 3-hour show a cappella. They subsequently released a document concert DVD "Streetlive! in Budoukan". At present, RAG FAIR has released 19 singles, 5 full-length studio albums, 2 mini-albums and 1 best album.
