Artist
R.O.Y. is a Canadian electro-pop singer, songwriter, record producer and photographer. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, he was a dedicated visual artist until the year of 2005 when he changed artistic paths and began writing poetry. In late 2006, R.O.Y. began composing music with which he would soon add vocals and lyrics to. September of 2007 saw the debut of R.O.Y. with the release of his debut single, "TRYIN'", a minor success in the world of online music communities but R.O.Y. saw it no more than the launch pad to an ever-growing success of musical creations. On March 8, 2008, R.O.Y. released his first widely accepted and well received single, "FASHION", a song dealing with the subject of conformity yet disguising it with an upbeat tempo and cheerful key. "FASHION" was soon followed by the release of three more singles, "Around the World", "Friends and Lovers" and "the FLAME", all released before the end of 2008. On February 24, 2009, R.O.Y. released his debut full-length album, "Reign of Yellow", containing his four previously released singles plus eight new songs. Since the release of his debut album, R.O.Y. has been consistently active in the release of new material and the development of his craft.
