Rübezahl is back!!! Rübezahl were creating brand new sounds with the new studio album „Mit Pauken und Trompeten“ that weren´t typical for the unhurried Main-Spessart area. The tender Rüben-plant began to sproud about four years ago when the five punk-cavaliers had their first gig at the youth centre Lohr am Main. What started as a project soon became serious. Since the first studio Album „Weltkulurerbe“ which was classified as solid Punkrock the style got more and more varied. Amongst others this is due to the horn section „Waidmanns Heil“ which is now a inherent part of the band When you see the expenditure of time, money and nerves another possible name for the new album would be „Bust but happy“. But in the the end the result was worth the effort. At first the debut-album „Weltkulturerbe“ was planed as a one-time highlight in the band history. But this purpuse was changed when the five rural cowboys won the prize of the audience as well as the award of the jury at „Rockin MSP 2007“ Rübezahl enjoys a increase of popularity in Main-Spessart and across its boundaries. Nevertheless the guys are still the same. They have always sung about the banality of daily life, the life in small towns and about other issues of society. But always with a whole bunch of irony and humor. Couse seriousness is a not an existing word in the vocabulary of the prairie-rednecks.
