Rövkräm is a Swedish mongometal/Blackened Death Punk band from Säffle, Värmland. They have played since the winter of 2005, but originally formed from 2 groups, Damp Syndrome and Metal String. 2001 Metal String was founded by two guys named Sebastian Lönn and Martin Kadhammar later being joined by Johnny Alfredsson. 2003 Martin met a guy named Alex Deall, who had the project Damp Syndrome (a solo mongo/electronica/experimental sound project). First intending to play bass in Metal String they later decided to breathe life into the term live-music with Damp Syndrome. Damp Syndrome had a very productive 3 or 4 rehearsals with Martin on Drums, Sebastian on Guitar and Alex on Bass and vocals. Some of the Rövkräm tracks were written during this period. In 2005 the band got a new guitarist (Micke Kullvén) and singer (Johnny from Metal String) and had 2 rehearsals in Draconians rehearsal studio. Micke sadly had to move to Åmål so the band was put on ice until the winter when Jonas Nilsson hooked up with the band. The lineup has changed quite a bit throughout 2005-2007. The songs are of a very taboo nature. Some of the songs are from happenings in their lives, others about sick and twisted people or situations, and some are just sick. The band wants to make it clear that they do not mean to offend anybody with their lyrics, and if it does occur it is purely coincidental and not really the opinion of the band.
