In 2011, Rémon Beeftink (The Netherlands, 1984) earned his Bachelor of Music Degree with a major in Songwriting at ‘The Rock Academy’ in The Netherlands. One year after his graduation his EP ‘Hold On’ gets released, containing a collection of acoustic pop songs. Things were set in motion and Rémon decided to form a new band. New songs were written and a successful crowd funding campaign made it possible to record a studio album in August 2013: Arise! This debut album presents a series of refined and polished pop songs. Rémon’s voice seizes the brighter, as well as the darker sides of love. Loss, hope, deceit and compassion all come together on Arise!. Every song on the album contains a universally perceived theme and takes you on a journey towards Rémon’s heartbroken planes or long summer nights, filled with love. Often songwriters lose themselves in the urge to prove to be dissimilar from the rest. Rémon Beeftink presents himself as a wayward musician and avoids feigned themes and hollow sound experiments. Moreover, the stage is his natural habitat. He has the ability to write a perfect pop song and brings them to the stage with a performance to match. Maybe Rémon Beeftink is the guy next door, we all want to have in our lives.
