Quasimodo is an indie rock band from Singapore that formed in 2005. The band released the track, "At the Cosmo", for the For Good: Ballyhoo compilation in 2008, produced by Nick Chan and released under Aging Youth Records. The single obtained airplay in BBC 6 (Introducing with Tom Robinson), Power 98 FM (Rock Revolution- SuperMario), Unpopular radio and Sweetmusic.fm in Singapore. The band focuses its music on lyrical content fused with layered vocal harmonies by Dan Azmie (vocalist), Ibrahim Fergo (rhythm guitar), El Yazeid (lead guitar), Reen M.Y. (Keyboards), Izzy (Bass) and Razzi (drums). The band has also performed regularly, notably at the Esplanade (Esplanade Presents: Quasimodo & New Year's Eve at the Waterfront 2008), Fort Canning (Pop Agenda), Singapore Arts Festival 2008 and WeekendTRIP 2009. Initially a retro indie pop band, Quasimodo has expanded its genre to include elements of new wave, rock & roll and old school pop in recent performances. They are currently working on an EP, tentatively titled "Shoplifters, Stay Away", scheduled to be released by end 2009.
