Sometime during February of 1929, the Q R S Boys cut four sides for the Q R S label: "Dad Blame Blues," "Black Boy Blues," "Wiggle Yo' Toes," and "I've Seen My Baby (And It Won't Be Long Now." The recording was in New York City, probably near Long Island. Q R S was best known as a maker of piano-rolls. The musicians on this date were pianist Fats Pichon, tenor saxophonist Robert Cloud and steel guitarist King Benny Nawahi. Pichon had recently recorded with Luis Russell's and King Oliver's orchestras. Cloud and Nawahi show up on various hot Hawaiian-flavored records dating from this same time period. The four "Q R S Boys" tracks have been released on various compilations of all three musician's work.
