Putri Ayu Silaen (born at Sibolga, North Sumatra, Indonesia on July 24, 1997) is an Indonesia soprano singer. She rose to fame as the runner-up of the first season of Indonesia Mencari Bakat (Indonesia Got Talent). During the event she had performed with many well-known singers and artists including Christian Bautista from Philippine. Her talent also impressed composer David Foster, who in 2011 invited her to the stage during his concert in Jakarta to sang Time To Say Goodbye, followed by his next concert in Singapore where Putri made a remarkable performance with Michael Bolton sang The Prayer. Putri Ayu is a daughter of Berlin Silaen and Suzana Pangaribuan. She has 2 older sisters named Junita Nathasya Silaen and Revina R. Silaen. She also has a brother named Putra Mahamei Parasian Silaen. She is now attended school on her high school at Tarsisius 1, Jakarta. Before following the Indonesia Mencari Bakat, she attended vocal lessons in San Vocal Music School Cantabile, Medan, under the guidance of Derta Purba. Until now Putri Ayu still deepen her musical knowledge under the guidance of Aning Katamsi, who was one of the best soprano singer in Indonesia. In the beginning of her career, Putri Ayu tends to have a mezzo soprano vocal type as the highest tone she usually used to sing is in the A5, but in songs like Bohemian Rhapsody, she was able to attain a Bb5, and now, the highest recorded tones ever achieved by Putri Ayu is C#6 (soprano).[2] when she sang The Girl in 14G. U
