The Puella Trio was established in 2003 at the Brno Conservatory. Today it is considered to be one of the most gifted trios of the young and up-and-coming generation of musicians. Since 2005 it has been rehearsing under the guidance of the Guarneri Trio Prague, and its members study chamber performance at the Hochschule für Musik in Luzern, Switzerland in the class of Professor Ivan Klánský and Professor Marek Jerie. The trio receives regular invitations to perform at international music festivals, such as the Moravian Autumn and the Ema Destinová Festivals, Czech Republic; the Allegro Vivo, Austria; the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, Germany; or the Flaneries Festival in Reims, France. It has also successfully participated in a number of international competitions: in 2004 the ensemble was awarded an Honourable Mention at the Beethoven’s Hradec International Competition in Hradec on the Moravice, Czech Republic; in 2005 it won the Second Prize at the Maria Yudina International Competition in St. Petersburg, Russia; in 2006 the Second Prize in the final round of the Rovere d’Oro International Competition in San Bartolomeo, Italy; and in 2007 the Third Prize at the Charles Hennen Concours in Heerlen, the Netherlands. Thanks to its participation in the last mentioned competition, the Puella Trio was invited to attend the international master courses in Weikersheim, Germany under the tuition of Professor Mathias Kirschnerreit, Volker Jacobsen and the Miro Quarter (the U.S.),
