Artist
Public Disturbance (North Jersey) is one of countless others with the same name. However, they've managed to strive in the DIY Anarchist Hardcore/Punk scene of NY and NJ. Originally formed in 2003 (about 20 years after the Mutha Records Public Disturbance from the same state formed and disbanded) they sought to change the tide of trendy, meaningless, mindless, apathetic leeches who would later diminish the New Jersey "Punk" scene to what it is now. . . Nothing. Their songs about social injustice, political corruption, abuse of power, abuse of animals, and direct action may fall on deaf ears in a world of apathy and ignorance, but even when preaching to the converted SOMEONE hears it. They've shared bills with Reagan Youth, (A).P.P.L.E., So Unloved, Death Mold, Resistant Culture, Final Conflict, Mutual Assured Destruction, Common Enemy, Hooliganism, The Krays, Olde York, The Wretched Ones, Blanks 77, The Muddles, Stockyard Stoics, Defiance Ohio, Ransom Note, The Low Budgets and countless more in their 6 years on the road Public Disturbance released Riot in 2005, then re-released it with additional unreleased tracks recorded in a garage studio in 2006. They are currently working on a new album, expected for release by Summer '09. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
