Project Bottlecap – Music Review Some of the people came to Club 101 to see bands play on the evening of March 13, 2002, but it’s arguable that more came for the weekly Wet T-shirt Contest. The obscure Sports Bar located in Arcadia Ca. opens their stage to many local amateur bands to draw customers and entertain the crowds. On this evening though, many of the patrons weren’t expecting to be blown away by the energy and mega intensity that fills the room when ‘Project Bottlecap’ plays. The evening marked the end of their spring tour, having played at different venues across the country over the last week, each night opening for bands such as ‘Breakdance Vietnam’, and ‘The Ataris’. On this evening however, ‘Project Bottlecap’ was the headliner, and it’s about time, their professionalism and determination shows they’re ready and willing. ‘Project Bottlecap,’ a Quintet hailing from Indianapolis is Adam (Bass), Brad (Rhythm Guitar), Dan (Drums), Jasin (Lead Guitar, Back-up Vocals), and Pat (Lead Vocals). Although Jasin writes the framework of the music, and Pat writes the lyrics, all the members of the band do their part in adding their own creativity and talent to each song, a riff here or a melody there, the signature of all the members can be found branded into every song, bringing you a completely unique and eclectic style.
