A collaborative effort between two core members, composer-singer Chi-wai Tang and sound designer-writer Cheuk-wa Yuen. Tang is the chief music producer at Television Broadcast Ltd. Yuen is an artist-in-residence at the Hong Kong Academy For Performing Arts. Primary Shapes was founded in 1999 and is an independent music group since then.
