Preston's Worldwide Funky Barbershop is a group from legendary bass player Preston Crump. Preston Crump is an Atlanta based musician who has a widespread influence over the southern hip hop landscape. Influenced by the bass stylings of Bootsy Collins, Preston began carving out his own niche as a premier bass player in the industry.Starting out playing for the production team Organized Noize Preston began playing bass on many hip hop records. Since that time he has played on some of the biggest hip hop records of the past two decades.Preston has played bass for artists such as Citizen Cope, Outkast, Dr. Dre, George Clinton, Parental Advisory, Goodie M.O.B., Mista, En Vogue, TLC, Raphael Saadiq, and Joi. Preston also has arranged horns and worked on production with his Presstone Productions. Preston's Worldwide Funky Barbershop released the debut album Destination in 2011. Preston Crump wrote and produced the entire album. He also plays bass, guitar, keys, and sang. The album features guest vocals from Slick, Keisha Jackson, Sonji Mickey. David Whild is featured on some guitar. Big Reese added some production to the album as did Ray Murray of Organized Noize.
