Powered By Love was a band from Victorville, California in 1967. The band was composed of lead singer and writer of the song "Powered By Love", Billy Guy, the leader of the band and rhythm guitar- Randy Smith, lead guitarist- Johnny Navarre, saxophonist- Jim Downing, organist- Sam, and drummer- Joe Steves. The band played top-40 hits from the 50's and 60's. This song was their only recording, along with the flip side "Ride on a Magic Carpet", also written by Billy Guy. The song was played on American Bandstand and local radio stations, but that was as far as it went. The band split up by the end of 1967.
