about

Potential Strangers never really seemed to be formed. They’re not really a band as such, rather a group of free musicians who meet each other and play some songs. The ‘some songs’ were all composed by the lead singer Dòl Eoin. He takes the reigns to an extent, while keeping an open mind with the songs’ direction. Buddy Holly was a heavy influence on Dòl eoin, as he grew up in probably one of the most remote corners of the world. Stuck in a present-shaped-past, he believed that Buddy Holly, Elvis and Johnny Cash were people of his time. At the age of 13 he saw the headstock of an electric guitar through the window of a porta-cabin, his school music room. Love at first sight. His guitar allowed him to channel his lonely teen-age thoughts and emotions, until his age became not so teen-age, and his thoughts became songs. Each song in his repertoire possesses little bits of him. He’s a friendly person. And he’ll befriend you with his songs.
