Artist
The PostModern Escape Artist was born in Oakland in 1991 to an artist father and singer mother. Due to his age, colleagues, companions, and new acquaintances are usually taken back by his stoic sense of humor, love for 40’s-50’s swing jazz music, and unemotional facial expressions. However after many scientific experiments it was later discovered that he was in fact the reincarnation of Humphrey Bogart explaining this phenomenon. In 2008, he left Lowell highschool the year before he was to graduate because he refused to subscribe to the fascism of the out dated industrial model of the educational system. Because of this he was known for sometime as a rebel without a cause, but disapproved of that title since it already belonged to David Hume who rejected the foundations of causation in the 18th century. The musical styling of the PostModern Escape Artist can be portrayed through the hypothetical situation of a hopeless romantic meeting an isolated mad scientist meeting a musically inclined extraterrestrial being laughing at an ambient A.I. robot in a post-apocalyptic world. He has been compared to artist such as Dan the Automator, Wax Tailor, and Daedelus due to his “cinematic” approach to hip-hop and electronic music and often incorporates quotes from b-movie horrorsci-fi and classic Hollywood films.
