Portrait of Mary is a four-piece indie/alternative rock band from Miami, FL that was formed in early 2005. Consisting of Carlos Ramos (Vocals/Guitar), Joshua Scott (Guitar), Ben Lindell (Bass), and Torin Degnats (Drums), their music is an edgy cross between modern alternative/indie, and early 90's rock. With influences ranging from Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Nirvana, The Killers, We Are Scientist, Maroon 5 and Interpol, what truly speaks is their creativity and originality. Just as a great painting can provoke an array of emotions and responses, Portrait of Mary songs paint everything from beautiful landscapes to feelings of love and angst. Each song truly has a life of its own as the melody flawlessly stems from the lyrics.
