Porpoise is a four-piece from Dunedin New Zealand, formed in mid-2020. Porpoise's music takes inspiration largely from the soundscapes of Dunedin Sound, Shoegaze, Japanese Math Rock, and Midwest Emo Porpoise consists of Lucy Pollock - Guitar Vocals Joel Field - Guitar Seddie Hewitson - Bass Tom Shultz - Drums https://www.facebook.com/Porpoise-107236001121908 https://www.instagram.com/porpoise.band/ (Old) Porpoise were a Midlands based four piece who formed in January 2007. Since then they have hit the dizzying heights of playing the pub circuit, rarely being paid but enjoying the fuck out of each and every gig.... Original Bassplayer Jon Behrendt left in 2009 and was briefly replaced by Jad Hill who in turn left after suggesting they write songs about sexy gingerbread men. The line up was complete when long time friend Adam Harper joined in Spring 2009. Gaz McCabe was in turn replaced by Allan Oakes in May 2009 to complete the new line up of Porpoise For more info see www.myspace.com/porpoiserock Porpoise Split on October 6th 2009. No one died.
