Poppy got her start in her hometown of Bontnewydd. She sang in school plays throughout her childhood. At age 10, she started to refine her singing voice. She spent the next few years maintaining a YouTube profile where she uploaded various tracks. Poppy was writing songs at a very young age and started to play on the piano and guitar and she uploaded her first song (The Key) to her YouTube account http://www.youtube.com/user/XxpoppysummerxX on October 2010.
