Poor Ragged Rascal has been a music producer and DJ since 1996. His early productions were an exploration of house, jazz, funk, D&B, breaks, afro-beat, and all things soulful and electronic. In 2001, he began to get deeper in to the worlds of nu-jazz, future funk and broken beat. His next project, called Playlofts included vocalist Katherine Paton, guitar player Jon Garces, Poor Ragged Rascal on the keyboard, and a live visual artist. Playlofts was a live experimental project that blended classic funk, electronic broken beats, and jazz with a stream of live visual elements. Poor Ragged Rascal plans to continue to bring his blend of funk, soul, jazz and broken beat to the rest of the world. Presently, he is doing live performances and playing DJ sets worldwide.
