Ponies at Dawn (often referred to as "P@D" within the brony community) is a community effort that aims at releasing compilations of songs that cover a wide variety of genres made by brony musicians. According to the My Little Pony Fan Labor Wiki: "Ponies at Dawn is a compilation album project that was established by Timber Wolffe and TheSlickOctopus that co-organized the project in April of 2012 and it is aimed to help musicians worldwide attend brony conventions; raising funds to assist in travel and expenses. The first compilation album "Hold Your Rainbow," was released in March of 2013. The album title itself was a suggestion by Rainbowjack, whose music at the time was strongly influenced by Pendulum. Over time, Arofire and Rainbowjack joined the project for the first album, Camsy joined the party for the second compilation album, "Moonlight Vapours" that was released in December of 2013. Then before the third album, Rainbowjack and TheSlickOctopus had left, and then ExplodingPonyToast joined the project for the rest of the compilation albums. Ponies at Dawn is now the largest pony compilation album series, having over taken Balloon Party.
