'Cheapest music for the masses' is Pomyja's motto. Band was founded in 2005 as a initiative started by Papa Mateo (chief of Global Jihad Records then, Wielki Babilon Records now) to put more life into terror-music scene. Their first album, 'Zadsd dsds shuicsww???' was like starting a revolt, which 'Sobol' [Sable], second album finished. In 2005 "Stoczniowiec'81' [ShipyardWorker'81] was released as a anti-tribute for polish Solidarność (Solidarity) movement, which was celebrating its 25th anniversary then. With this album Pomyja's style changed, there were more pop-like songs and those noisy "shockers" of which Pomyja was famous before were in minority. Heresy for the old fanatics, this change in tactics opened Pomyja for wider audiences. 'Tak Bardzo Cię Nienawidzę' , released in 2007, have not repeated success of its ancestor and it is discussed if Pomyja sold themselves to the mainstream. Track '00000011' from the album 'Sobol' features Agnieszka Chylińska from O.N.A. Selected tracks from 'Stoczniowiec'81' was used by polish soldiers in Iraq as a noise to distract reptiles in the desert. Main vocal of Pomyja - as he describes himself - is a castrated bear, child of man and goddess. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
