Artist
Poly Panou is a Greek singer of rembetika and laika music. Panou was born Polytimi Koliopanou on October 28, 1940 in Patra. She was already singing professionally in her teens, and was discovered by Grigoris Bithikotsis. By the late 1950s, she was working with famous composers Vasilis Tsitsanis, Manolis Hiotis, Giorgos Mitsakis and Yiannis Papaioannou. By 1966, she owned her own recording company.
