In early 2007, after finding each other on Craigslist Los Angeles, Montreal born singer/actress, Kate Zenna and jazz guitarist, Jonathon Fessenden, created Marina’s Daughter. After working with a full band, the two decided to pare down and work with DJ/producer/remixer Paul Laski. They re-named the project ‘Pointe Claire’ and became a mobile electro-pop project, playing L.A. art galleries, private parties, and nightclubs alike. “We call it progressive; a sound that accents all of the strengths that Pointe Claire commands – from irresistible beats to angelic vocals that will easily retain your attention. They’re not building on someone else’s idea – this is new music, plain and simple. “ – Penseyeview.com The tracks, ‘Sweet Takeover’, and ‘Gorgeous’ have both been used in indie films, and ‘Jaded Girl’ has received acclaim with music supervisors and music libraries. Pointe Claire continues to release singles and remixes digitally. The album ‘I Asked For You…First’ is available on iTunes, CDBaby and select music stores nationwide.
