There are several artists/bands with the name PLUM. In chronological order, 5 known artists share this name: 1. Plum from Argentina, was formed in Buenos Aires in 1995 and was the temporary side project of Soda Stereo's drummer Charly Alberti, and his then-girlfriend, singer Deborah de Corral. The band released one eponymous studio album that same year: Plum. It was a one-off project that explored the shoegaze genre in-depth, and was well-received, but is not generally well known amongst the broader audience. The band remained active until early 1997. 2. Plum - A trio from Stargard Szczecinski (POLAND). The band was set up in 1999. In fall 1999 Plum recorded first songs, ep Express..6, which were put out on cassettes by Every Color Production. The main features of its music are uncompromise sound, energy and compositional sensitivity. You can find in it influences of such bands like Jesus Lizard, Girls vs Boys. The album Out Of Confusion 2001 released by Post Post is a development of band's style. It met with good reception of critique, Out Of Confusion encompasses mature, more complex songs, dipped in melancholic atmosphere which becomes dense due to reflective, claustrophobic, full of strain lyrics.
