Ploon is a band composed of Tyler Gorman (Guitar, Vocals), Owen Kufta (Keyboard, Baritone Ukulele, Guitar, Vocals), Rex Keasey (Trombone, Trumpet), and Ryan Barrett (Tenor Sax, Clarinet). Ploon was founded by Tyler and Owen in December of 2021, when they recorded The Mentality of a Seizing Three Year-old, the first installment in a series of experimental E.P.s with a collection of improvised songs, spanning only one take. These recordings can still be heard on the Ploon Archive YouTube channel. Their first venture into the streaming world was with their debut album Jelly Maker. Since then they have released four albums (Oops!, Ok, The Worst of Ploon, A Dream About a Ship in a Bottle), a single (1950s Therapy/All I Can Do), and two E.P.s (Jam Maker, Invoking Regurgitation on a Giant Deity’s Tongue).
