erik ricky and tim met eachother during their formative years in the dreary grey and beige of the kent/renton area. ricky was jealous of tim, tim thought ricky didn't like him, erik took photographs with ricky and secretly smoked cigarrettes with tim. tim and erik were pals. tim ricky and erik all had many mutual friends, they also listened to the pixies. then college came, tim went to boston, erik and ricky read and hid their frustration in order to fit in with all the methodists. in their second year ricky erik and tim spent the weekends together in tims cozy smoke filled capitol hill apartment. tim and erik wrote music together, ricky wrote music but never played it for anyone except for his roommate at the time. tim and erik compiled a digital album that was embraced by all their mutual friends. they called themselves "the beats, man". that summer, while at the gorge, erik suggested that they all become the pleasure boaters. it seems that now, they have become.......
