Named after the iconic shoujo manga/anime, Please Save My Earth is an Appalachian emo band formed in 2018 by Collin and Diana Jean Skeen, a lover duo who started writing music together when they returned to the US after living in southern Hokkaido in Japan. Currently located in the San Francisco Bay Area, they self-recorded and released their first album, Leap Year, in 2020 during the pandemic. Coming back to America was filled with a lot of hardships—losing close friends and family to death/suicide/addiction, seeing the division in their home country, and wondering whether their dreams were out of reach—but their relationship and love for each other gave them the strength to move forward.
