Russian post-hardcore/modern rock band from St.Petersburg. Planara was formed in 2013 by two ex-members of a metal band ASTHENIC - Eugene Bo and Ivan Romanov. Debut single by Planara called Rolling The Dice was released on 5th of June, 2013. Its brutal and agressive sound established Planara as one of the most perspective emerging post-hardcore bands of that time. Moreover it was enriched with the beautiful music video directed by young fashion photographer Dima Mo. Dark, stylish and fueled with the sexual energy it foreshowed conceptual image of the future Planara. The first EP titled Hostiles was released in the spring of 2014. It showed band's strong thirst for genre experiments. The album was warmly accepted by the European crtitics which described it as "pure-and-simple melodic rock with some electronic elements thrown in for good measure". Most of them also noted powerful vocal performance and heavy guitar-work. In December, 2014 Planara released new single called "Something You Should Know" with the music video to be the first band in Russia that got rotation contract with VEVO, the largest international music media network.
