Plén-An-Gwary: a trio of noiselings, formed in the small town of Falmouth, Cornwall at the back end of '07. Initaially a two-piece of Ben Barlow and Jon Toomey, messing around with anything that produced a sound, heavilly laden in digital trickery. In early '08 Sam Palmer joined to add the beats, the sound began to develop, Jon and Ben settled down to more conventional instrumentation (although playing it in a very unconventional way). Copius effects pedals were purchased as the digitisation was driven out, replaced by much more analogue heavy noises. Hauled up in a garage for a year, progression was found with relentless jamming, leading to developments of new and interesting layers being added, and a reduction of initial early distorted messes, as more form was found, leading to the present rumblings. With this the doors were flung open to an unsuspecting public early '09, with various live jams taking place, with confidence growing, wider spaces are to be scouted for future performances, watch this space....
