At age 17 the singer Francisco "Pirulo" Rosado Rosario was orphaned by both parents, victims of AIDS. That blow that shook his life in full adolescence caused him to take refuge in music, becoming a percussionist and composer. By then, the 38-year-old artist had to take care of his younger brothers, Sergio and Patricia, and together they surpassed the stones along the way to become good men. For the tests suffered, the salsero wanted, under the concept of Pirulo and his tribe, to seek the positive meaning of life. That is reflected in his album Calle linda, whose first cut is A lo loco, but happy. Born in the San José neighborhood of Río Piedras, Pirulo earned his fourth year at the Escuela Libre de Música and obtained two scholarships to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, but he did not finish his studies because of the cost of living there and Because he felt obliged to take care of his brothers. "My father, being an excellent man, of great love, tremendous father and so, fell into the clutches of drugs, was addicted, tecato as we say in the street. Sadly, he became infected with the HIV virus, AIDS, and infected my mother, who had nothing to do with the street. She was a mother of nails and claws with us and of much love, and that same love infected her. That was a disgrace, I was a teenager, a little flame ...
