The Pi-Rats (The Pi stands for the mathematical constant 3.14159) are originally from Bern, but they live in a shared flat in Zürich, where they were formed in 2003. The flat is their creative place to annoy the neighbours and write their songs. I assume that the name Pi-Rats should indicate, that their lyrics are intelligent but subversiv. All of the bandmembers played in former projects e.g. the punk band punch'n'pie and others. There are only a few songs out yet, they are for free at their page www.pirats.ch.
