Piotr Alexewicz

Born April 9th 2000 in Wrocław, Piotr Alexewicz - a semifinalist of the 18th International Chopin Competition, where he got a Special Prize - studied under Prof. Paweł Zawadzki in Wrocław and is currently a student of Prof. Konstantin Scherbakov in Zurich. At the 19th International Chopin Competition he was voted The winner by a public poll – with 19,961 votes while ranked fifth by the 17 member Competition jury. He has collaborated closely with the National Chopin Institute since 2017. In 2024, he recorded Chopin's 26 preludes and Sonata in B flat minor, Op. 35. Awards include the Young Promoter of Poland and the Wrocław Artistic Prize. Recent performances include his debut at the Berlin Philharmonic and a tour in Japan. He has performed extensively in most countries in Europe, as well as in the USA, Japan, Brazil.
