Artist
Pinkish Rubbish was started by Eric Moore in the summer of 2010, after failed attempts at other projects in from 2007-2009. A majority of the songs featured on his first EP were written in the past few years, starting as poems. Eric's singing and guitar playing are primarily self-taught, and his songs draw influence from Bright Eyes, Elliot Smith, Good Old War, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and others. Eric is 18 years young, and enjoys many different types of music. From Taking Back Sunday to Nirvana to The Strokes to Circa Survive to Kid Cudi to Billie Joel, and just about everything in between, he has found an appreciation for many different types of tunes. Eric has plays shows at small venues around Iowa, and is currently unsigned. His songs come from postulation, art, bad days and a broken heart. His goal is for them to feel as nostalgic to the listener as they do to him, but really, his music is just a cathartic sort of unconventional therapy. His first release of original music: Fall: Under Glass EP (released on myspace in fall 2010, and on last.fm on Feb. 2, 2011) Moore's 2nd release of original music will be an EP entitled "The Pathos Demos", set to be released in the summer. One track "24 Month Loop" was released April 24, 2011 on myspace and last.fm User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
