Contrary to popular belief, The Orb did not remix any of the Pink Floyd albums even though there are elements of both bands used along with added instrumentation and samples of dialogue from TV and movies as well as sound effects. While Alex Paterson (of The Orb) has said that Pink Floyd's "Meddle" album was an influence in his musical development he has denied their involvement in the production of the remixes. Though the producers have remained unknown these remixes were probably recorded for fans or for play at events such as raves or at clubs.
