Pingüinos, the current name of former Myfriendpeter singer/songwriter Peter Mollica. Born in 1986, raised in the Bay Ridge neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, Peter is currently based in Albany, New York and finishing up college. He is a part of the B3nson Music Collective (www.b3nson.net) which recently (Nov, 2008) released a compilation featuring 14 bands who almost all share members, instruments, ideas and good times. Pingüinos' music recounts the personal tales of love, friendship, afterlife, and his travels. You may catch him singing in spanish. Influences include Conor Oberst, Sgt. Dunbar and the Hobo Banned, Saves the Day, Okkervil River, Langhorne Slim, Bob Dylan among many others. A full length titled "Nieve" is due out Spring 2009, on B3nson Records.
