Dear Passangers, welcome! PILOTO AUTOMÁTICO is a stoner/punk/slow/heavy/tripping out sound rock band from the underground scene of Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. Although only together for 3 years, PEDRO ASSIS (drums), TOMAZ JR. (guitar/vocals), NAEVIO REZENDE (bass/vocals) and RANGEL ZURK (guitar/vocals) have made a sound that is hard to define. The sound is kind of spatial and it takes a ride on the several influences, such as Queens Of The Stone Age, Kyuss, Zefirina Bomba, Eagles Of Death Metal, Pixies, The Kinks, Nação Zumbi, Sonic Youth, Foo Fighters, Motörhead, Hüsker Dü, Black Flag, The Stooges, Black Sabbath, Brant Björk, Buzzcocks, Death From Above 1979, Jackson do Pandeiro, Luiz Gonzaga, Robert Johnson, Edgar Allan Poe, Jack Kerouac, Ernest Hemingway, João Cabral de Melo Neto, Science Fiction and many other things which have drawn our attention in Recife and the world. Tired of seeing the underground scene undervalued, Piloto Automático aims to make a heavy riff-oriented kind of sound, which also can entertain people by just making them dance and bang their heads at the same time as they are digging our sound.
