Artist
Piet Van Dam is a local male in the inner suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. He was once a well renowned karaoke master but was never able to find mainstream success. He first discovered his gift of karaoke whilst still inside his mother's uterus, singing to the faint vibrations of the music being played outside. Once alive and well he quickly developed his skills and by the age of 5 was performing regularly at local Asian karaoke bars. In early 2000 he signed a four year record deal but, after 2 unsuccessful albums he was dropped. Emotionally destroyed, Piet turned to late night television and cooking. He has not sung to an audience in over 7 years. During a recent interview when asked if he would ever consider returning to karaoke Piet replied saying, "Maybe". His 2 studio albums are now of considerable value as nearly all were purchased and then destroyed by Piet himself. Only 1 recording is still known to exist, a karaoke version of Van Halen's hit song Jump. Once a child prodigy, no one knows if Piet will ever return to singing and fulfill his destiny in becoming the greatest karaoke musician of all time.
