Initially, the band was formed by Stanislav Gatilov (vocal) (-ex-“Crane Glee”, “Mysteria”) and Nickolay Ushakov (bass) in 2004 in Gomel (Republic of Belarus). After a while a percussionist and sound-producer Voldemar Bushev (-ex- "Plastic Hardcore", "Blush") joined the band, and under the name «The Ladder» songs of the new-sprung group appeared on the most of capital radio stations by the end of the year. Afterwards the band repeatedly performed on television, took part in hit-parades of Belorussian radio stations (usually on top positions). In 2006, «The Ladder» released a debut album titled «Right to your heart» on Collaps Records (USA). A line-up was changed several times. There are lots of well known Gomel musicians who took part in creative process, such as: drummer Sergey Grudinin, guitar player Max Zdorovets and keyboard player Dmitry Sergeev. In 2009, one of the founders and main composers Nickolay Ushakov left the band. It was decided to dismiss all the rest musicians. After a while Stanislav Gatilov and Voldemar Bushev decided to resurrect the band and asked Dmitry Lazarenko (-ex- “The Blackbirds”, “Бан-Жвiрба”), a guitar player of well known on all post soviet area band “Gods Tower”, to join them. This way its new life and its new breath found a project called «Physical Presence». The guys felt very pleased playing together from the very beginning and it seemed like songs were born on their own. Dmitry Lazarenko's coming had very strong influence on a whole style
