Phillip D'Tanc immigrated to the US at the age of 7 months when his mother, a French prostitute, was deported for making threats against the government. Phillip grew up a modern gypsy, roaming from state to state, absorbing American culture and music. He's been performing, in some form or fashion, since the age of 5, from street corners to a short stint on a Carnival Cruise, where he had stowed away in a large suitcase. He was detained by Costa Rican authorities for 3 months until he escaped and returned to the US via the "Mexican Pipeline" on the Texas border. His music can be described as experimental/lo-fi/indie.
