Artists known as, Philips: 1. NL - From the 1930s to the 1950s the Dutch company Philips produced a number of spoken and lyrical and musical advertisements to promote their radio stations, audio services, radio sets etc. The contracted artists were either left uncredited or simply credited as 'Philips'. An example is a nederlandstalig one from 1950 for the 'Philips autoradio', named on the record as Uw Gezellige Reisgenoot. Radio stations that featured advertisements were then posted these records to play as contracted by Philips. 2.
