Philco Fiction was started by Turid and Bjarne in 2003, then known as Id. Since then the list of members has grown to include Andreas and associated members Christian Skaugen and Ruben Larssen. Philco Fiction sounds like a mashup of Björk and Edith Piaf. The heart of their sound is a gentle mix of acoustic and electronic sounds. Imagine the sound of instruments yet to be invented emerging from an old gramophone. Alternative instrumentation and lack of respect for genre make Philco Fiction a highly dynamic and unpredictable ensemble. After an appearance on Eurosonic 2012 and being named 'Band of the Day' by acclaimed British newspaper The Guardian, the band are quickly gaining momentum.
