Four years on the road now and hard work is paying off ! Here is the story in a nutshell, so far. Phil Bee and the Buzztones started out in march 2004 as a five-piece-Bluesband with the classical line-up - drums, bass, leadguitar, keyboards and vocals/rhythm guitar. All experienced Dutch blues musicians (check -Buzzers- in the menu). On the strength of their first demo-CD Blues with a buzz (recorded at Carlo de Wijs Organasty-studio) the band got its first gig - at the world famous North Sea Jazz Festival in The Hague (NL)! After that, lots of gigs at festivals, radiostations and in clubs all over the Benelux and Germany followed (Bluesfestival Delft, Bluesfestival Utrecht, Blues&Rootsfestival Oosterhout, Bluesfestival Eindhoven, Parkfeesten Venlo - to name a few), and the Buzztones soon gained themselves a reputation as an outstanding live-act. NSJ-MB Thanks to a distinctive bandsound, one of the best singers in the Dutch Bluescircuit and repertoire of mostly self-penned songs the Buzztones got themselves another famous gig - in may 2005 they were the only Bluesband from the Benelux at the Moulin Blues Festival in Ospel, the biggest Blues-event in the Netherlands. Together with the Fabulous Thunderbirds, James Harman, Walter Trout etc. Fans and critics alike were enthusiastic over their performance, and music magazine OOR wrote: ...steady swingblues, which brought the crowd up on its feet. Once again the Buzztones showed why they were booked for the North Sea Jazzfest
